India appears in the mind of Brunei people when it comes to medical treatment due to its caring, dedicated and English-speaking doctors and hospital staff. Although rich, Brunei is not as medically developed as this culturally-bestowed land. Furthermore, its diversity and spine-chilling history also compel Brunei citizens to apply for an Indian to visit it.
Having taken such points into consideration, the government of India has included this small country in the list of those eligible ones whose nationals can apply for an electronic visa for India and receive it online on the email address on approval, no longer need to go to the Embassy and stand in queues for hours.

In 1984, both India and Brunei established bilateral relations.
